Arturo Sandoval, Father of Latin Jazz.

Hello friends! It’s me again. Today, i will talk about my favorite musician. He is Arturo Sandoval. He is a trumpets musician from Cuba who was born in November 6th, 1949.

Arturo Sandoval is highlighted by a flashy talent in his instrument, the treble trumpet. In the music, specifically in afro jazz, or maybe Latin jazz, the treble trumpet is very important, because gives it a special sound that automatically identifies the type of music, or even the musician in particular. Arturo Sandoval, helped found the group Irakere with saxophonist Paquito D'Rivera and pianist Chucho Valdes, and became the most important jazz ensemble from Cuba. They had a great success. Then, Arturo Sandoval met to Dizzie Gillespie.

Gillespie wanted to know what kind of music they did in Cuba, including his guaguancó. Sandoval offered, and then a great friendship was born between them.
My favorite song from Arturo Sandoval is “A mis abuelos”, because when I play trumpet, I imagine being Arturo Sandoval, and let the feelings of the music run through my veins.
